Situated on the hill overlooking Redmund Spur, the client's brief was to create a family home that offered expansive living areas to capture year-round evening sunsets, while remaining cost-effective.

Our team collaborated closely with the client from the outset, assisting with section selection and conceptual ideas. Early coordination with the architect and engineer was key in keeping costs under control, enabling us to design a foundation that was well-suited to the steep, bedrock-laden site while staying within budget.

A central feature of the design was the integration of large outdoor decking areas that seamlessly connected to the open-plan kitchen and dining spaces. Through thoughtful planning, we were able to incorporate a spacious, flat lawn into the landscaping, utilizing rocks from the early stages of the build. This thoughtful approach ensured the family home met both functional and aesthetic goals, creating a harmonious space for both living and outdoor enjoyment.
